Principal's Bio

Mr. Holt has served as a principal in Scottsboro schools for the past eighteen years. Previously he served as principal at Scottsboro High School for eight years and Page / Collins Elementary for five years. Mr. Holt earned his undergraduate degree in Education from the University of Alabama and a Master of Education degree from Alabama A & M University. Twenty-nine years of past educational experiences have prepared Mr. Holt for his current position at Caldwell.

Mr. Holt is married to Jenifer Collins Holt and they have three children. The oldest is Zachary who teaches at Nelson Elementary and lives in Scottsboro with his wife, Annie, who is employed with Jackson County Schools.  Zac and Annie have one child, 2 year-old Foster McGowan. Jordan is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy and serves in the U.S. Navy.  Elizabeth is a junior at the University of Alabama. 

All three of the Holt children attended Caldwell during their elementary school careers allowing Mr. Holt the opportunity of interacting with the school as a parent. He has this to say about Caldwell, "Caldwell Elementary has long been recognized as an outstanding school that serves the community well and it thrills me to be a part of this staff."
