Bio
I was born in Scottsboro and have lived here most of my
life. I had my first experience as a teacher when I was in
Mrs. Stricklin's first grade class at Brownwood so I knew at an early
age that I wanted to be a teacher when I grew up. I graduated from
Athens State College in 1993, and married my husband, Ken, that same
year. We moved to Watertown, New York where Ken was stationed in the
U.S. Army. I worked in the local school system there. In 1996, we
returned home to Scottsboro. I enjoy reading, traveling, crafting, painting, and
spending time with my family.
